Reminds me of the media - "Stocks dropped today on news of the collapse of the kumquat market": How do "they" know that? Is a poll taken at the end of every trading day? I think not!

agreed --- and especially funny is how the SAME EVENT can be used to justify either up or down in the market ... which reminds me of another reference I should have cross-linked: ModernPhrenology (2003-10-19), which includes one of my favorite aphorisms, from a friend's med school professor:
