Overheard during the past few weeks:

• "Born in a barn ..." [said of someone who failed to close the door when leaving] - (MRM)
• "He pined loudly." - (?)
• "Drill the caribou!" - (BW)
• "I don't have a bad attitude --- it's just my personality." - (MRM)
• "A random collection of thoughts that doesn't go anywhere." - (GdM) ... "Hey, that's us!" - (^z)
• "I used the whip --- the first time because he needed it, the second time because he wanted it." - (MRM)

And in response to a question about why to write, my opinion: It's better to write for love and do something else for a living, than vice versa.
