Describe John Castledine? That might be difficult. Since re-entering college in grad school, my past identities seem remote. The more I learn (or unlearn), the closer I come to my "original self", where identity begins to evolve in clashes with reality.
Is wiki what the web was originally intended to be?
Welcome, John! --- excellent question. Maybe WikiIsIt, maybe not (at times I worry about scaling, vulnerability, etc.) ... but perhaps it's a step in a productive direction? At least wiki offers a way to quickly make lots of mistakes, sometimes even GoodMistakes ... (^_^) - MarkZimmermann
Thanks, Mark. We share a common generation and interests, I think. Maybe that is why ZhurnalWiki has a special "feel" to me. My background is not as scientific, but my current studies center on library and information science and I am drawn to the humanities orientation. This seems like a good place for librarians, writers, philosophers, and artists. If tiny solutions can be found for "Photo Wiki" [1], perhaps collaborative visuals will find their way to wiki. --JohnCastledine
