UxoriousErrata

A couple of quick fixes to misstatements in earlier ^zhurnal! posts this year:

  • Concerning ThePax (6 March 2000), a mock-irate correspondent who signs herself "Air Force Wife" writes, "Wow! Where have you been living? The Naval Test Pilot School is not the ONLY one in the country. Does Edwards AFB ring a bell?" She goes on to point out the existence of the National Test Pilot School, also in California, plus additional ones in other nations. Sorry, Kelli! I was just quoting the USN aviator who guided our Boy Scout troop through the Patuxent River Naval Air Station facility. Wouldn't want to insult the wife of a USAF test pilot. (Pure coincidence: Kelli's husband is working with my brother-in-law ... small world, eh?)
  • Re SpinningSources (of Gravitational Waves — Thesis 2) (11 April 2000), Margaret Szedenits spotted an entry mentioning Eugene Szedenits, Jr., her husband. Gene writes to gently advise me: "I was not born in Hungary but in Austria to a Hungarian father and a Slovak mother." Oops! ... the old memory plays tricks, alas ... glad I wasn't further off.

One of the reasons for posting ^zhurnal ramblings is to offer a target for corrections, so I can get my stories straight(er). More important, however, is to raise flags — to encourage old friends (and other people with common interests) to link up and share ideas. Thanks to all of you for writing with your comments!
