Even though it's silly and self-centered of me, sometimes I feel a bit of pride in using computer programs that are technologically superior. Or maybe it's a sense of honor, or privilege, in being allowed to do a few things well ... which reminds me of my favorite Dilbert cartoon. One of the regular gang of characters spies an old eccentric and says, "Hold it right there, Buddy. That scruffy beard ... those suspenders ... that smug expression — you're one of those condescending Unix computer users!"
The elitist replies, "Here's a nickel, kid. Get yourself a better computer."
But he really means better software ...
