A friend (SA) tells of being in a group training exercise. The organizers asked the participants to come up with a team slogan — obviously expecting something along the usual gung-ho lines of faster-higher-farther, pursuit of excellence über alles, triumph of the human spirit, and the like.
But my comrade's group rebelled and picked a more realistic, and perhaps far wiser, motto. Their choice?
