"What comes next is usually the most important thing, no matter what the enterprise is," a friend (LL) once advised. That's right! The present is pregnant with the future. We look to tomorrow because that's where yesterday's decisions will become real. Beyond the immediate "next" the fan-out of possibilities is too great to control or even envision. Right now, before the "next" happens, choices that have already been made are playing out and there's no freedom left. Only in the next is there the chance to make a difference.
